We serve two monthly fundraising meals. The second Monday of every month we serve pork steak and on the fourth Monday we serve all-you-care-to-eat pork ribs. We request a minimum donation of $18 per guest, but we ask you to Pay It Forward with a more generous contribution to help support the free community meal that we serve every Sunday. Seatings are available at 4:30, 5:00, 5:45, and 6:15 PM in Walker House, 724 Walnut Street, Murphysboro Illinois.
Reservations Please: Call or text (618) 534-5065
Monday November 10 you can enjoy a garden salad followed by a large pork steak, baked sweet potato, vegetable side dish, our locally famous 724 Rolls, your choice of beverage, and a custom dessert from For Goodness Cakes. On Monday November 24 we will serve potato soup followed by all-you-care-to-eat pork ribs, baked sweet potato, broccoli Normandy with cheese, 724 Rolls, and your choice of beverage topped off with a gooey butter cookie from For Goodness Cakes.
We call these events Jessie's Table to honor Jessie Wall Daniel who lived in the house where we serve our meals for most of her life. She and her mother Mary Wall before her established a family tradition of reaching out to people in need. We believe they would be honored to know that their home is still being used to enrich lives.
We welcome one time donations, but ask that you consider making a recurring contribution each month.
